To provide support to the commercial managers and senior commercial managers to ensure the successful delivery of the control period 6 (CP6) contract with a focus on actual cost accuracy and subcontract management.
Person Specification
1. Experience of working within a commercial environment or experienced in a cost clerk or accounts Ledger role.
2. Experience in cost verification.
3. Ability to work under own intuition and think of new ways to drive efficiencies.
4. Ability to use a range of IT packages including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
5. Excellent organisation and time management skills.
6. Preferred construction industry experience.
7. Preferred educated to degree standard or equivalent professional qualification in related subject.
8. Preferred experience of working within a commercial environment.
9. Awareness of industry issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. The formation of accurate and timely labour accruals to support period reporting.
2. Validate subcontract timesheets against workplans / signing in records.
3. The assessment of periodic subcontract applications for payment with a view to validate against AFC (cost capturing tool) and to issue payless notices if required.
4. The approval of summit requisitions and invoices.
5. Support the production team with the raising of subcontract requisitions.
6. Assist in the formation of subcontract final accounts.
7. Provide audit support as and when required.
8. Proactively assist with instilling commercial awareness throughout Colas Rail Ltd.
