The opportunity:
The Visitor Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable winter experience at Mt Hotham.
This exciting opportunity involves overseeing visitor operations, events, and services that enhance the quality and enjoyment of our resort's winter season. Join us in creating magical moments and exceptional service for all our visitors!

Key responsibilities include:
1. Manage and lead the Visitor Operations seasonal team to deliver services during winter including rostering, shift coverage, and training to meet the demands of the resorts throughout the season.
2. Manage all components of winter resort access including servicing and resourcing parking throughout the resort, traffic and transport management, to streamline the visitor experience.
3. Manage, monitor and report on visitor-facing operations.
4. Manage the winter visitor experience offerings, including overseeing the resort’s winter snow play activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable visitor experience, by working closely and collaboratively with business operators, the Resort Operations, and Visitor Services teams.
5. Manage public shelters in the resort ensuring all amenities are always presented in a clean and safe manner, with unhindered access in/out of the facilities.
6. Attend and contribute to weekly operational meetings to ensure effective collaboration across the Visitor Experience department and ARV Mt Hotham more broadly.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in operational management.
2. Cert IV or Degree in business, tourism, events or marketing or related discipline or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
3. Demonstrated experience in tourism stakeholder management, working closely with operators to develop and deliver new products/services.
4. Demonstrated customer service experience and ability to resolve complex visitor issues.
5. Experience managing diverse, customer-focused teams to deliver quality services.

Salary Range: $53.24 p/h including casual loading

The successful candidate will be required to:
1. Have full Australian working rights.
2. Hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
3. Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.

5. Available to work weekends and school holidays.
6. Available from June to 30 September 2025 (or the declared snow season).
