Job Overview
We are looking for volunteers based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Volunteers play a very important role in the NHS, working in a range of settings and providing a variety of services alongside paid staff.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Assist the Charity and Membership Co-ordinator to raise awareness of the Trust Membership and Hospitals charities.
2. Carry out a variety of administrative and clerical duties.
3. Assist with the preparation of communications materials for public and staff displays.
4. Organise events.
5. Handle telephone enquiries and face-to-face contact.
6. Assist office staff with photocopying, scanning, emailing, faxing, distributing, filing, and organizing letters and documents.
7. Open and stamp Charity/Membership letters.
8. Support the recruitment of public foundation trust members.
9. Support the sale of raffle tickets on behalf of the Charity Office.
10. Assist the office with monthly tasks, e.g., entering staff data onto the FT MES database.
Working for Our Organisation
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH), Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH), as well as several community healthcare premises.
