Manufacturing Engineer required for a permanent role within an engineering company based in Clevedon, BS21. The successful candidate will join a team of manufacturing engineers in a manual assembly production facility, with products (predominantly semiconductor abatement systems) involving a mix of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic assembly.
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Full time or part time applicants considered
Working hours: Monday - Friday, flexible start/finish times
Location: Conveniently located next to M5 junction 20

About the role:
1. Accountable for the definition, setup and optimisation of the processes within the allocated manufacturing cell(s)
2. Implement continuous improvement activities and projects
3. Document, implement, own and continuously improve the manufacturing cell(s) Lean manufacturing processes
4. Implement and maintain risk assessments for allocated manufacturing cell(s), including the authoring of safe systems of work
5. Specification and purchasing of the appropriate tooling and equipment for the allocated manufacturing cell(s)
The right candidate:
1. Previous work experience in the manufacturing / engineering industry
2. Understands engineering drawings, schematics and diagrams
3. Proficient user of MS office and similar applications used in an office environment
4. Experience of process documentation authoring, writing of procedures and work instructions
5. Experience in optimising production processes as well as providing production support
6. Experience of problem solving and or utilising root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environment
7. Able to work cross functionally, communicate and build working relationships at all levels
8. Ability to develop technical solutions, to requirements, within agreed timescales
