Day to Day Receiving Goods: Unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for quality and quantity, and ensuring accurate records are kept. Picking & Packing: Preparing customer orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring goods are properly labelled and packaged securely, in line with company standards and deadlines. Inventory Management: Assisting with stock checks, maintaining an organised and clean storage area, and ensuring stock is stored in the correct locations. Dispatching Orders: Coordinating with couriers to ensure timely shipment of goods. Quality Control: Checking orders before dispatch to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe, adhering to health and safety protocols. Using Technology: Operating barcode scanners, warehouse management software, and other relevant tools to track inventory and orders. Equipment Handling: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or trolleys (training provided if required). Deputising for the Warehouse Manager: Taking on increased responsibilities when required, ensuring the smooth operation of inventory and dispatch processes in the warehouse manager's absence. About You Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. Be physically fit, as the role involves manual handling of goods and standing for extended periods. Be a team player with good communication skills, able to work well with colleagues and supervisors. Be proactive and take initiative to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly. Eager to learn and develop new skills, showing a commitment to personal and professional growth within the logistics trade. Be a keen problem solver, able to identify issues and work efficiently to resolve them. Have a positive attitude and be willing to adapt to different tasks as needed. Your Qualifications Essential: Basic numeracy and literacy skills to manage inventory and follow order instructions. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to warehouse environments. Ability to lift and move heavy items safely. Desirable: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment (preferred but not essential; training can be provided). Experience using warehouse management systems or handheld scanners. Knowledge of logistics or supply chain processes.
