We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and committed Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join the Oxleas CAMHS Leadership Team as the Clinical Lead for the Mental Health Support Team service at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead/Consultant Clinical Psychologist post for Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) is responsible for clinical and professional leadership across the service. The post is based clinically within the MHST services, covering Greenwich and Bexley. The Postholder is also part of the Oxleas CAMHS Leadership team.
MHSTs are part of a large-scale national initiative, aiming to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people within education settings, address health inequalities, improve access and support education colleagues with a whole school approach to wellbeing.
Within the MHST, the postholder is part of the senior leadership group, working closely together with the MHST Operational Manager.
Job responsibilities
* To provide clinical and professional leadership for the provision of a high-quality MHST service across Greenwich and Bexley.
* To provide expertise as part of the senior leadership group for MHST.
* To actively contribute to the work of the wider Oxleas CAMHS Leadership Team, working in close collaboration with other Clinical Leads, discipline leads and senior managers.
* To contribute to clinical, professional, and service developments across Oxleas CAMHS.
* To be responsible for good clinical governance, quality, and appropriateness of the work of MHST staff across Greenwich and Bexley schools/education settings.
* To ensure the conduct of research, audits, outcomes reporting, quality improvement and service evaluation relevant to the provision of clinical care across the MHST service.
* To lead on the development of the MHST workforce within Greenwich and Bexley.
* Alongside the MHST Operational Manager, to effectively link in with and implement regional and national developments with regards to MHST services.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* Post-graduate Doctoral level training and qualification in Clinical Psychology, as accredited by the BPS and recognised by HCPC
* Professional registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
* Completed training in clinical supervision
* Completed training/CPD in clinical leadership
* Evidence of continuing professional development as required by professional bodies for Clinical Psychology, relevant to the post
Desirable
* Further training in at least one specialised area of psychological practice relevant to children and young people's mental health, through formal qualification (post-graduate diploma or equivalent) OR a combination of specialist short courses/an evidenced portfolio of supervised practice in specialism
Experience
Essential
* Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, including working with complex Adolescents requiring specialist mental health support.
* Experience of undertaking leadership roles
* Experience of providing clinical supervision to qualified and non-qualified Psychologists, and clinicians from other disciplines
* Experience of carrying out post-qualification research, quality improvement and/or audit and service evaluation projects
* Experience of participation in workforce development and recruitment
Desirable
* Experience of providing teaching and training to psychological professionals and others
* Experience of proposing and implementing service development projects that impact beyond own service area
* Experience that supports working within diverse local communities
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
Essential
* Advanced theoretical knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and the evidence base for relevant interventions
* Knowledge of relevant assessment procedures and clinical psychometrics, including advanced knowledge and experience in the administration of assessments with children and adolescents.
* Skills to deliver psychological care across cultural and other differences
