Salary: £50k -£60k basic (depending on experience) + large bonus
An environmentally friendly packaging converter seeks a candidate to market a range of products designed to remove plastic from the E-Commerce sector.
The candidate will have a proven track record in senior-level sales, ideally selling packaging to retailers. They are looking for someone whose ambition and determination will rival their current standing directors.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Research new clients, products, markets & exhibitions/events on a national basis.
2. Prospect/cold call utilizing own initiative, industry knowledge & best practices eg. LinkedIn.
3. Persuade new prospects and lapsed customers to place physical orders and/or accept a meeting to establish packaging needs.
4. Maximise profitable opportunities by understanding client operation savings vs price paying.
5. Increase company participation in tendered packaging opportunities.
6. Attend exhibitions & relevant training courses to develop knowledge, techniques, and skills.
Personal Specification:
* Positive mindset with care of their work, clients & colleagues.
* Proven track record of senior-level sales is essential, ideally in selling packaging to retailers.
* Highly motivated and able to work effectively under own initiative.
* Confident in liaising with company Owners/Directors and prestigious blue chip companies.
* Ability to challenge/persuade prospect if hurdles need overcoming.
* Maximises ‘cold call effectiveness’ adapting prospecting method (e.g. LinkedIn/teams).
* Quick thinker.
* Team Player.
* Very strong interpersonal skills.
* Confident and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
* Pro-active work ethic.
* Organised and efficient.
* Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and LinkedIn. (CRM training will be given).
