Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst for Last Mile Finance team to support financial reporting and analytics, driving launches of some of Amazon’s newest tech for last mile operations and enhancing controllership. The right individual will have strong finance, analytical, and leadership skills. The individual should possess solid business judgment and be capable of driving the right results, including the ability to influence senior business leaders and to work cross-functionally with multiple tech and business teams including Accounting, Business Development, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Analyst will be a finance partner to the relevant business teams. Following are the key responsibilities:
1. Drive the headcount and cost planning process for the business.
2. Drive analysis to identify ROI from proposed tech investments and help in prioritization of projects.
3. Expertise in collecting, analyzing, and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions.
4. Own the month close activities and accurate reporting of results.
5. Identify efficiency opportunities in the Ops programs based on input metrics, working closely with the business team to drive improvements.
6. Build financial analysis models driving operational decisions across the Amazon network.
7. Controllership on tech headcount and costs with a focus to achieve internal targets and efficiencies YoY.
8. Drive Tech financial reviews with the leadership.
9. Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions. Partner with business teams to drive cost out and optimal cross-functional decisions that maximize Amazon's long-term free cash flow.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of finance experience.
* 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
* Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting.
* Experience using data to influence business decisions.
* Chartered Accountant.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
* Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL.
