Wesham Rehabilitation centre is advertising an exciting post within Mental Health Rehabilitation clinical pathways, providing a great opportunity for individuals to work as part of this team and initiative.
Wesham rehabilitation centre offers a model of rehabilitation care for 24 males, focusing on empowering the service user to gain or recover their confidence and skills that promote independence, autonomy, and encourage hope for the future, while recovering from a mental health illness. The facility encourages the skills necessary to transition back into a community setting.
We provide a welcoming and domestic feel to service users. The facility is registered with the CQC as an Open Community Rehabilitation service, registered to accommodate service users detained under the MHA. There is access to a full MDT including nursing staff, occupational therapists, psychology, medical staff, and physicians associate.
Applicants must have experience and an expressed interest in working within the rehabilitation pathway.
Main duties of the job
You will be a Nurse working within a multi-disciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties. As a Band 5 Nurse within the team, you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse, and you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
You will actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence, and compassion within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and Code of Conduct. You are required to maintain links with your professional body and provide evidence for the revalidation process.
You will work within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of recovery-focused rehabilitation care directed to service users.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
* Must hold a Mental Health professional qualification (RMN)
* Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
* Other relevant clinical training qualifications, including mentorship of students within the team
Knowledge
* Expert knowledge on mental health issues and their impact on the individual, carers, and the wider community
* Expertise in current best practice in Adult Mental Health, and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation
* Specialist knowledge and application of mental health assessments and interventions using expert-level clinical reasoning
* Knowledge of current research in the specialist area and ability to implement it into own and others' practice
* Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice, demonstrating an understanding of, and a commitment to, the principles of recovery, choice, and personalisation
* Specialist knowledge in Rehabilitation mental health or willingness to undertake training
Experience
* Post-registration experience in a mental health service
* Use of evidence-based practice
* Extensive clinical experiences including individual and group supervision of non-professionally qualified staff and nursing students
* Provision of training and/or presentations to groups
* Demonstrate planning skills, e.g., time/caseload management
* Work at band 5
* Experience in a range of specialist Health and Social Care settings
* Positive personal learning through experience of mental health problems in self or family/friends
