As part of our continued growth and development of our nursery, Newhall Primary Academy and REAch2 Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an apprentice to join our nursery team. Responsibilities
* Support children with their basic needs (e.g., helping them at mealtimes, toileting, and supporting their emotional needs).
* Complete observations on the children with support from their mentor and plan activities to help children achieve their full potential against the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Ensure the children are kept safe at all times, completing risk assessments and reporting to the manager.
* Participate in in-house training, including safeguarding.
* Understand the nursery's policies and procedures and gain knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Training and Qualifications
The apprentice will undertake all relevant training to support knowledge, skills, and behavior to qualify as a Level 2/3 Early Years Practitioner (e.g., Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid).
The fixed-term contract is for 18 months to allow the completion of the apprenticeship and qualifications.

Information about the School
Newhall is a new, 2-form, state-of-the-art academy and nursery on the Newhall development in Harlow. The school has been built to accommodate 420 primary children (Reception to Year 6) and 56 nursery children (6 months to 4 years).
Our school and nursery are situated on vast grounds, incorporating sports fields, games courts, and play areas. The main building itself offers a fully equipped curriculum kitchen for pupil use, a beautiful library, breakout areas for interventions, a music and drama room, and well-resourced nursery rooms and primary classrooms.
All our staff have an excellent work ethic and deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our polite and eager-to-learn children. We have a caring, family ethos coupled with high expectations, and along with the Reach2 Academy Trust, we are able to provide high-quality CPD for all who work here.
