Mobile Diagnostic Engineer – Bus & Coach
A leading mobile diagnostic and support service for Bus & Coach operators is looking for skilled and motivated engineers to join our growing team. Specialising in heavy Diesel-Mechanical, Electric, Hybrid & Alternative Fuels vehicles we deliver top-tier inspection, diagnostics, and maintenance services while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
This varied role will present the successful candidates’ opportunities to develop their technical skillset whilst also gaining leadership/management experience.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct diagnostics and repairs on a range of bus and coach brands using the latest licensed software.
* Perform electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis to deliver a "fix first time" service.
* Handle diagnostics, calibration, and reprogramming for major systems such as WABCO and Cummins.
* Provide fleet maintenance services, including MOT preparation, vehicle inspections, and breakdown assistance.
* Support customers with shift cover, workshop supervision, and management when needed.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations through operator audits and reporting.
* Participate in campaign work, including safety recalls and collaboration with dealerships.
Essential Criteria:
* NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or similar discipline.
