Job Description
* To ensure efficient set-up and planning according to the Banquet Events Order.
* To comply with all policies and procedures including FOCUS.
* To assign responsibilities to subordinates and to check their performance periodically.
* To liaise with the Kitchen and Beverage department enquiries on food, beverage and service.
* To establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and assisting to update guest history.
* To ensure that the Banquet is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house.
* To liaise and organize with housekeeping and stewarding department that the established cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.
* To issue repair and maintenance work orders to ensure the proper maintenance of the Banquets.
* To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
* Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries.
* Work as a team to get all the job tasks completed in any given time.
* Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
* Promptly respond to the guest with any additional request.
* Taking guest feedback and encouraging guest to share their feedback on our social media platform e.g. Trip advisor, Trust you etc.
* Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
* Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort.
* Must have some familiarity with basic cooking knowledge.
* Other tasks that are assigned.
Qualifications
* 1-2 years banquet and event management experience.
* Guest experience centric.
* Strong beverage/wine knowledge.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Trustworthy with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in their work.
* Pro-active and energetic with a positive 'can do' attitude.
* Ability to multi-task with prioritization skills.
* Knowledge of the products/items selling in the outlet.
* Proficient in the use of Micros.
