A great opportunity has arisen for a CMM Inspector to join a leading manufacturing company who supply worldclass products to various industries including, Aerospace, Oil & Gas & Renewable.
Job Description:
* Performing final & inter-stage dimensional inspections and supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records associated with these activities.
* Review and verify route cards, process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of components.
* Liaise with client inspectors as and when required.Perform intermediate and final dimensional inspections including documenting and maintaining records associated with inspection.
* Verification of process instructions, engineering drawings and inspection procedures.
* Inspection of parts to include the production and control of documents for materials processes and parts.
* Assist in the development and control of necessary documentation, analyse & report on materials, processes and products.
* Calibration and recording of measuring equipment.
* Liaise with other departments to maximise output
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
* Basic Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 & AS9100 requirements.
* Competent user of measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, Micrometers, CMM’s and vision systems
* Basic Knowledge of all relevant British standards.
* Substantial experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings and associated engineering documentation.
* Computer Literate
* Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills
* Able to work of your own initiative
* Flexible attitude to work
Additional Details:
* Salary subject to experience.
* Shift pattern 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 12am, which rotates on a weekly basis. (5 days, 4 days)
