Street Lighting Operations Manager

Ringway Jacobs is seeking an experienced and talented lighting professional to manage the street lighting maintenance within our contract. This role encompasses all delivery functions, including budget management and providing strategic investment advice for approximately 150,000 lighting assets.
Our team is responsible for the investigation, design, planning, programming, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance work programs. The successful candidate will support and assist with coordinating a range of resources to achieve these objectives. This includes working with internal staff, supply chain partners, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the role requires occasional engagement with Elected Members, District Councils, strategic partners, and other providers.
The Role
1. To provide a first-class service to our customers, completing a high standard of maintenance to the highway network, helping to ensure that all maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with the strategies and policies of the County Council and Essex Highways
2. Development of Street Lighting Service Plans and Task Orders annually and agree with ECC Commissioning Team
3. Delivery and management of Street Lighting contractual KPI’s
4. To help develop a street lighting services across Essex adapting and changing the service post completion of LED upgrade
5. Management and understanding of costs through the companies cost capture system and the ability to maximise value in relation to these costs.
About You
6. Applicable degree qualified, HNC /HND with operational experience
7. Member of the Institution of Lighting Professionals
8. Excellent all round IT skills with Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
9. Working knowledge of HEA working requirements with current ESC card
