About the role
The People Business Partner will support the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering to design, refine and implement the People strategy and provide HR expertise, advocating change, developing a high-level of employee engagement and maintaining and developing the organisation's culture whilst driving business partnering across the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering, you will offer a consultative approach to specific areas of the organisation at Director and Head of Division levels to nurture the Node4 Group culture through a people-first approach whilst protecting the organisation commercially to support organisational change and transformation.
Working closely with the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering, the People Business Partner will proactively provide insight into emerging opportunities and threats facing Node4 and leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to provide solutions to People, Legislative & Cultural areas. They will help drive the optimisation of our existing People function, whilst developing scalable system, platform and process solutions to enable rapid exponential growth whilst ensuring a consistent and seamless stakeholder experience which protects the organisation from legislative, compliance and data security perspectives.
The role will support with shaping the day-to-day experience of Node4 colleagues to create a compelling and consistent employee experience across all locations.
What will you bring?
As People Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
* Managing Employee Relations cases to effective and timely resolution
* Undertaking strategic HR projects as required by the People Team to enhance employee experience
* Working with the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering in managing TUPE or supported with business acquisitions
* Bringing best practice reward and recognition experience to develop the Node4 Group overall offering
* Being responsible for upskilling managers and developing manager capability – to empower and create a ‘self-serve’ model
* Supporting L&D and People Team to increase employee capability, introducing innovative approaches to traditional talent programmes and internal career progression
* Leading on engagement and EVP activities with the People team
* Supporting the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering with annual and periodic employee voice initiatives– and leading on action planning with Managers
* Reviewing, analysing and recommending appropriate changes and developments to HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the wider People team
* Being a trusted advisor on people-related issues to Senior leaders and people managers across the organisation – acting as the HR expert within the organisation
* Partnering key stakeholders across all business divisions in the design and delivery of their people plan
* Leading on projects and implementation of HR initiatives
* Acting as the point of contact for ER situations – escalating to the Director of People Operations and Business Partnering where required
* Supporting cultural change, organisational and engagement initiatives
* Acting as a change agent; leading, supporting and contributing to change initiatives, driving and championing the implementation of HR solutions, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders.
* Identifying development areas for People Managers to support and develop a ‘self-serve’ model
* Consistently demonstrating and championing ESaaS & L4 behaviors – acting as a role model & ambassador for Node4
* Developing consultative working relationships across all departments
* Identifying opportunities to add value to all stakeholder relationships
* Seeking feedback & regularly reflecting on own performance
* Ensuring knowledge share & best practice are common practice within your area of responsibility

Skills & Qualifications:
As People Business Partner, you will be expected to demonstrate certain skills in order to successfully fulfil the role. These include:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating at HR Advisor/Generalist level.
* Solution and outcome-focused, you should be naturally curious and willing to challenge the traditional HR models
* Highly motivated and self-directed, with a flexible and stakeholder-centric approach
* A collaborative approach to work, you will be a real team player and ready to roll your sleeves up whenever needed
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Employment Law and best practice
* Ability to work independently and as a coach/mentor to junior members of the team
* Passion for solving complex problems with strong communication and listening skills
* Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, schedule and track to deadlines
* Positive approach to learning, identifying own development needs as appropriate
* Understanding the importance of and how to deliver ESaaS
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and face-to-face)
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Demonstrating an understanding of Node4 solutions
