What are the day-to-day responsibilities of a Steel Erector: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements for steel installation. Assemble and install structural steel components, such as beams, columns, and braces, using appropriate tools and equipment. Bolt or weld steel components together securely, following industry standards and safety protocols. Collaborate with other team members, including crane operators and riggers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Inspect and assess steel components for defects or damage, reporting any issues to the supervisor. Required Skills and Qualifications of the Steel Erector: Previous experience as a Steel Erector or in a similar role is preferred. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Knowledge of steel erection techniques, equipment, and tools. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
