I currently have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join an established consultancy who specialise in Civil, Structural and Geotechnical with extensive experience in the core areas of Bridges, Rail, Infrastructure, Buildings and Geotechnical Services, designing and co-ordinating projects from conception to completion.
With multiple offices across the UK, this client is a innovative, forward thinking Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy working on a wide variety of projects within railway infrastructure, buildings, temporary works, bridges and geotechnics.
The role will predominantly involve utilising computer aided drafting tools and working collaboratively with Engineers and other Technicians to delivery engineering design. You will also be supporting other technicians in delivering structural, civils and geotechnical deigns and using other software packages for delivery of their projects.
Key responsibilities for this CAD Technician role:
- Work with engineers and technicians on M&E, structural, civils and geotechnical design elements for a whole range of projects.
- Setting-up and producing CAD engineering drawings, schematics and documents.
- Ability to create and deliver engineering CAD drawings and models.
- Drawing reviews and checking of schemes prepared by others.
- Maintaining drawing files and records, of engineering models and designs.
Key requirements for this CAD Technician role:
- Preferred qualifications in general and technical disciplines, such as - GCSE, A-Levels, C&G, SVQ, NVQ, BTEC, NC, OND. Level 2 or 3 C&G I.T
- Ideally Microstations and/or AutoCAD
- Competent in using engineering design and modelling software packages.
- Experience of the design of mechanical, electrical and plumping (MEP) systems.
- Experience in Rail
- Experiences in Building Structures and Bridge Structures.
Package on offer for this CAD Technician Role:
- Salary upto £45,000
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off.

- 40 hours per week. There is flexibility with start and finish times available however, the core working hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm
