N.P.I Process Engineer (Injection Moulding)

Responsibilities:
1. Manage the setting of moulding machines and additional processing equipment.
2. Fault-finding production support, tool and design changes, and monitoring processes and performance to ensure maximum outputs and quality standards are achieved.
3. Travel to customer sites as necessary.
4. Set up moulding machines and additional processing equipment to the required standard.
5. Liaise with setters for tool changes and set machines for trials.
6. Undertake engineering design change reviews and sampling.
7. Introduce new tooling and conduct pre-production run at rate trials, creating thorough trial reports and clear work instructions for the first production run setup.
8. Diagnose processing faults, equipment, and tool issues.
9. Raise tooling improvement requests and maintenance requests for improved productivity.
10. Complete problem follow-up reports (P.F.U) for Key Point Indicator (K.P.I) reporting.
11. Perform tasks requested by the Design department NPI Processing Supervisor/Manager.
12. Support Technical teams, Setters, and material handlers in fulfilling their roles.
13. Ensure customer satisfaction through the consistent development of our processes.
14. Create and maintain parameter setting sheet documentation.
15. Maintain and monitor existing processes, delivering improvements and scrap reduction.
16. Support Manufacturing production departments in dealing with customer quality concerns.
17. Maintain a Right First Time (RFT) mentality.
18. Focus on maintaining a clean work area (5’s).
19. Support/cover daily meetings when required.
20. Continue training of apprentices and new recruits to the technical team.
