Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Pay: £83 - £90 per day (PAYE)
Hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team within a school based in Oldham, Lancashire. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who possesses a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent and has at least 6 months of experience within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing and delivering educational material and activities under the direction of the lead teacher.
2. Provide individual support to students with additional needs to help them achieve their full potential.
3. Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to assess the progress of students and identify any additional support requirements.
4. Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
5. Participate in organizing classroom resources and ensuring that equipment is in good working order.
6. Support the teacher in managing classroom behavior, applying agreed-upon strategies to effectively maintain discipline and promote positive conduct.
7. Assist in the supervision of students during break times, lined-up assemblies, and on field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
8. Engage with parents and carers under the teacher’s guidance to provide feedback on students’ progress and respond to inquiries as needed.
9. Display high levels of resilience and a positive attitude to meet the daily challenges associated with educational settings.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Level 2 TA qualification or an equivalent recognized certification.
2. Minimum of 6 months experience working within a school-based environment.
3. Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
4. Proven experience of supporting young people with additional needs.
5. Highly resilient, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with students, colleagues, and parents.
7. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
