Respiratory Health Care Assistant - Band 3

Wiltshire Health and Care has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join the Wiltshire Community Respiratory Team in the South of the County.
This role will include working closely with the respiratory physiotherapists to deliver a Pulmonary Rehabilitation service (exercise and education programme for people with Chronic Respiratory Disease) and also be involved in the day-to-day running of the service, providing clinical and administrative support to the respiratory nurses.
This multidisciplinary team delivers a holistic patient-centred approach, working collaboratively with Hospice and Community services; provides the Wiltshire Home Oxygen Service; Pulmonary Rehabilitation; Disease and medication optimisation and Exacerbation management.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will require excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, working within a small friendly team and be expected to travel to work in several locations in Wiltshire to provide this service. Access to own car and a driving licence is therefore essential.
Experience of supervising exercise training and knowledge of working in a respiratory setting will be an advantage, but training will also be provided. There will also be opportunities for respiratory learning and development.

* Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
Qualifications
* Good level of general education.
* NVQ Level 3 in health care or equivalent qualification.
* Higher education qualifications in health and fitness or other appropriate courses.
* Physiotherapy Assistant Training.
Experience
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
* Experience of working under distanced supervision.
* Experience of supporting others.
* Experience of confidentiality issues.
* Experience of the NHS.
