Sea and Air Freight Customer Service Operative

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (part-time hours considered)
We are seeking a dedicated Sea and Air Freight Customer Service Operative to join our clients small, friendly team specialising in sea and air freight. This role involves managing sea and air shipments with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for clients, overseeing shipments from booking to delivery.
Coordinate and monitor the entire start to finish shipping process, liaising with overseas agents and managing import clearance.
Provide quotes for sea and air shipments, both import and export.
Book shipments with suppliers/carriers using in-house systems and manage invoicing.
Address and resolve operational issues, ensuring high service standards throughout.
Maintain effective communication with clients, delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
About You:
Previous experience in sea and air freight is ideal, though experience in other freight modes (air/road) combined with strong customer service skills will also be considered.
A solid understanding of inbound and outbound customs processes.
Customer-focused with a strong commitment to exceptional service.
Detail-oriented, process-driven, and organized.
Proficient in problem-solving and resolving operational challenges efficiently.
