A prestigious global engineering company in the heart of Warwickshire with a strength in the engineering field of Defence Engineering is seeking a strong and experienced Trade Compliance Officer. Skills you have previously attained within the role as a Trade Compliance Officer. The Trade Compliance Department is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable import and export regulations for domestic and international business. In addition, the receipt, use, dissemination and re - transfer of controlled U.S. technology must be conducted in full compliance with U.S. export legislation and the relating authorisations. Responsibilities of the Trade Compliance Officer:Create policies and procedures in support of trade compliance activitiesConduct internal audits and prepare for external audit reviews Represent and support the business unit in managing all export/import and anti - corruption compliance activities within programmes, Bids, demonstrations and exhibitions Liaise with relevant process centre personnel regarding programme export/import and anti - corruption issues and advising decisively on the right way forward Prepare and submit export licences and F680s via SPIRE Support US suppliers in the scoping of accurate US agreement applications to support programmes/business development before submission into the US Department of State Act as the key interface between the Business Unit and empowered Export Compliance Officials of U.S. companies with respect to the export and re - export of Land Systems - related U.S. - origin hardware, software and technology Provide advice and awareness training to current and new Land System employees on the compliance requirements of UK and U.S. export control legislation Maintain an up to date knowledge of the ITAR/EAR and other countries\' import and export legislationEstablishment and implementation of process and procedures associated with export/import and anti - corruption compliance as they relate to the businessQualifications and Essential Characteristics of the Trade Compliance Officer:Must have a track record in successful generation and implementation of Trade compliance process and proceduresA strong communicator with the ability to articulate technical issues effectively to the management team Experience with export documents and preparation of: Bills of Lading, Shippers Export Declaration, Shippers Letter of Instruction, Commercial Invoices and Proforma Invoices, Letters of Credit, Proof of Export requirements, Certificates of Origin, Incoterms and other general trade issuesMust be conversant with Duty relief\'s procedures and Commodity codingTravel between UK sites is a definite requirement of the role Must be able to attain Security Clearance / ITAR Compliant - Current SC preferred The role of Trade Compliance Officer is of an URGENT requirement for our client Please apply in writing with current CV for this role.
