Qualifying Supervisor
* Salary of £45-52 per year and benefits as follows :
* Company van and fuel card to be provided.
* Mobile phone, laptop to be provided
* 4 weeks’ notice of termination for both parties
* Sick pay is at the Line managers discretion
* Weekend overtime time be paid at time and a half, should you be required to support in larger works.
What are my Responsibilities
* Ensure health and safety is considered first, and best practice is followed, in every situation.
* Support the Operations Department in Operations Director Absence.
* Lead from the front in any large testing or installation works that may require your skillset/labour onsite,
* Monthly reviews with company Qualified supervisors and assist in engineers training, audits and development needs.
* Report to the Operations Director on a regular basis, what current tasks are being carried out and the situation of planned tasks.
* To ensure the smooth running of the Electrical engineers and apprentices.
* Conduct site audits 2/3 days a week, support engineers and apprentices with their development.
* Support the Ops Director with remedial quotations, by providing detailed parts lists and timings to completed defects – training to be given
* Complete Qsing via the Amtech/NAPIT system.
* Look for new ways to develop the business from an engineering perspective.
* Attend IET and trade shows to further develop yourself and the team
* Complete an LV/HV City and Guilds course within the next 9 months.
* Produce an annual training programme and development programme for all engineers and apprentices – with associated costs.
* Train all apprentices to carry out all Amtech/ NAPIT Functions
* Train all engineers and apprentices on how to carry out thermal tests, emergency light tests and how to complete their Relevant paperwork for these associated jobs
* Educate team to use of Labour resource effectively to maximise profit, through own experiences.
* Manage, develop and motivate staff to achieve their potential with long term Training / goal program`s.
* Conduct on site audits and ensure direct reports meet their schedules for auditing
* Manage and disciplinary of engineers and apprentices where required. (Training to be provided)
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory and safety requirements. Ensuring qualifications remain in date (Project Solver to cover the cost of these courses)
* Continue to hold full NICEIC QS holder responsibilities.
* Any other reasonable task set out by the Directors
