Want to lead an area at the heart of school life?
Do you have the expertise to lead a core subject area?
Are you looking for the opportunity to lead across the school and work strategically with the Headteacher and Deputy Teacher?
The role
We seek a highly successful teacher, ideally with recent Key Stage 2 experience, to lead a core subject along with another subject. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced headteacher and deputy headteacher and maintain our high standards as recognised at our October 2024 inspection. This identified the school’s outstanding work. Aston Tower has also been awarded the leading parent partnership award recognising our excellent work with parents.
The school
Aston Tower is a popular two-form entry multi-cultural school that serves a community which values and supports our work. We have friendly, responsive and enthusiastic children whose attitudes to learning were described as ‘excellent’ by Ofsted along with their outstanding behaviour. Our staff team is skilled, caring, and committed; trustees are keen to be involved and highly supportive. The school is very well-resourced. Our well-kept modern premises are set in spacious grounds which lend themselves to being further developed to promote our pupils’ learning. This term we opened a resource base for pupils with Special Educational Needs following approval from the Department for Education (DfE).
Potential candidates are invited to discuss this opportunity and visit the school.
Aston Tower Multi-academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and individually take responsibility for doing so.
How to apply
An application form and person specification are available from our website.

Rehabilitation of offenders: This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
