The Opportunity
My client is currently looking for an ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager to support the design and implementation of their core financial processes, governance, systems, and business performance management. The role will business-partner the different group business units, set the high-performance finance standard and capabilities, and help drive and support the group's growth, development, and performance to deliver the ambitious 5-year plan.
Job Summary
1. Direct responsibility for the governance, reporting, and analysis of financial performance.
2. Responsibility for all management reporting: cashflow, P&L, balance sheet, financial/operational/commercial KPI reporting, and CapEx.
3. Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast requirements.
4. Responsibility for managing all financial risks and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements (Audit, Tax, HMRC).
5. Support the external audit process and deliver the annual statutory accounts.
6. Manage all IT requirements of the business (including hardware procurement, software development, ongoing maintenance/upgrades, access/securities, and GDPR requirements).
7. Passion for business and process improvement - the ability to deliver change effectively.
8. Passion for the adoption of technology in order to deliver business improvement and financial resilience.
Personal Profile
1. Experience of building/developing an effective financial control and governance framework.
2. Experience of designing and implementing best practice financial reporting and analysis.
3. Experience and working knowledge of ERP systems is essential (to include the ability to automate data input/outputs).
4. Strong technical accounting background, with proven academic track record (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA Qualification) and high attention to detail.
