We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice based in Swanley, Kent who are looking to recruit a Senior Paraplanner. This role offers flexible home working.
Purpose of the Job
To support the sales and giving of advice to private clients, all system-based administration and client liaison work in connection with any private client product sales.
To provide analysis, monitoring and reporting, as required, in respect of investment valuation reports, including SIPP drawdown analysis, existing policy analysis and portfolios.
To provide and be responsible for paraplanning for clients’ needs, including product research, solution design, for suitability in line with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) (in conjunction with the Partner) and report writing in the prescribed template.
To contribute to the success of the company overall and to adhere to all internal compliance standards, administration procedures, TCF and time-recording, where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
1. To provide support services for all client sales made by the business writers, to ensure 100% compliance with the FCA regulations on the conduct of business and 100% compliance with the company's internal administrative requirements. This will include 100% compliance with the company's system recording requirements, using Intelligent Office database system. Experience with Intelliflo is therefore essential to the role.
2. To support the business writers in their advisory work with clients, including the collation of information, the obtaining of illustrations, the production of standard letters and standard and non-standard reports, including the production of suitability reports, as per our template. NB You will not be required to give advice in your job role but will be required to paraplan client solutions in line with their objectives, needs, ATR and suitability.
You will provide:
3. accurate and efficient administration of both paper and system-based records, including email.
4. analysis of existing portfolios, using our asset allocation model and fund selection for clients together with fund reviews and recommendations where required.
5. production of standard suitability and other compliance support materials, including the scanning and documenting of these in paper and system form, within a time frame agreed with the partner.
6. the accurate maintenance of filing of client records.
7. production of planning reports and quarterly product/fund research reports, working in conjunction with the Partners at a quarterly meeting, which will be your responsibility to arrange.
8. An in-depth knowledge of the products and services that we offer and any regulatory or taxation rules which may affect the advice and to use continued professional development to keep this knowledge current and up to date.
9. All suitability reports with the correct supporting documentation, literature, key features, fund fact sheets, applications, illustrations etc.
10. A weekly task list to show the business writers the work in progress and its current status.
11. the monitoring of all standard paragraphs used for taxation, ATR, fund descriptions etc to be kept up to date and be uploaded onto SharePoint as and when changes occur.
12. the diligence to read and review, as prescribed by the partners any compliance documentation, Money laundering, Whistle Blowing, Data Protection etc. and must sign the firms Staff Declaration annually.
13. The diligence to keep up to date with any changes or if your become aware of any working practices which may need improving inform us, to help us to continue to fully embed TCF within our business model and cascade this to staff in the team and management alike.
Should be Level 4 qualified and have a Diploma in Financial Services
Should ideally be working towards Chartered or Certified status
