Cook – The Royal Silverdale The Royal Silverdale is located in the centre of the beautiful traditional Village of Silverdale, with in the Silverdale and Arnside National Landscapes area. This is a thriving pub in the summer months with both local and holiday custom Who are we looking for? As a Cook at the Royal Silverdale, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking food from our basic café style lunch menu with care, efficiency, and attention to quality. This role requires someone with a strong sense of kitchen hygiene, time management, and a passion for producing simple but well-made dishes What hours will I work: Initially 4 lunchtimes a week, Friday – Monday 11am – 4pm Location: The Royal Silverdale. Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience. Who will you report to? Pub Manager Main Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present food items from the café style menu to a consistently high standard. Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Manage prep work and ensure the kitchen is well-stocked for service. Work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment. Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Take pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and friendly working environment. Qualifications / Experience: Essential Proven experience working as a cook or in a similar kitchen role in a café or casual dining setting. Ability to follow recipes and prepare dishes consistently. Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. Positive attitude and team spirit. Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above). What are the Benefits?
