We are looking for an SEN Teacher to join our team at Underley Garden School based in Kirkby Lonsdale. You will be working with the Headteacher on developing a curriculum and enhancing the school environment. You will create a positive and safe learning environment for the pupils and promote positive relationships between peers.
We are looking for SEN Teachers who have a therapeutic approach to their teaching and learning. Teachers with a background in Early Years and Primary Teaching would be suitable for this position but must be prepared to teach students of all ages. Experience of working with Autistic pupils and a willingness to teach and lead on a curriculum area(s) is essential. We need people who share our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable students in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.
Underley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils aged 5-19 who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory, and behavioral needs.
