Handover Assistant – A47 Tuddenham Location: Tuddenham (Norwich area) We're looking for a detail-oriented Handover Assistant to join our construction team on two major National Highways projects in Tuddenham. In this role, you'll ensure a smooth transition of completed work, supporting the handover process, verifying all documentation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met. You’ll also help refine the handover procedures within Galliford Try's Business Management System (BMS). Key Responsibilities – Support the Handover Manager in organizing and submitting handover documentation (as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, test results, certifications). Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Galliford Try and National Highways standards for handover audits. Help coordinate handover meetings and presentations with National Highways and internal teams, addressing queries and additional information requests. Collaborate with the team to develop and improve handover procedures and processes. Assist in mapping current handover processes, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting improvements. Implement new handover processes within Galliford Try's Business Management System (BMS). Train internal teams on using the BMS for handover processes and provide guidance as needed. Track handover progress, report milestones, and assist in resolving issues to ensure a smooth handover. Key Requirements – Previous experience in a project-based environment, ideally in construction or infrastructure, with a preference for highways or civil engineering projects. Familiarity with the handover process, including documentation and compliance, preferably for clients like National Highways. Knowledge of quality control processes, industry standards, and client scope integration into working practices. Experience in developing or enhancing Business Management Systems (BMS) for process improvement and implementation. Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and engage with stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BMS development software, document management, and problem-solving abilities. About You – Proactive and solution-oriented approach. Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary. Ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues. A relevant qualification in construction, project management, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential. CSCS qualification would be beneficial but not essential.
