Personal Care Classroom Assistant
Are you a compassionate individual with a passion for supporting young people? We are looking for a Personal Care Classroom Assistant to join our dedicated team and help students with personal care needs thrive in a supportive learning environment.
About the Role
As a Personal Care Classroom Assistant, you will:
* Provide personal care support, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and feeding.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
* Monitor, document, and report on students’ progress and behaviour to support their individual learning plans.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, following safeguarding procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) or providing personal care.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths .
* A thorough understanding of safeguarding protocols .
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students.
Desirable Qualifications:
* A certificate or diploma in Health and Social Care .
* Training in manual handling and SEN support strategies.
