Can you help serve in our kitchen providing a hot meal for those struggling/in need?
3 hrs / week Flexible Castleford Central and Glasshoughton view map
Our guests come to us for many different reasons, some have just fallen on hard times, others are isolated/ lonely and/or suffer with addiction. What we do allows the opportunity to share a hot meal with other members of the community in a warm, friendly environment and seek advice/support from our Support co-ordinator and other drop-in services during sessions such as Turning Point and the local Police.
We also provide monitored access to food parcels and our clothing bank.
Being a kitchen helper includes set up before we open, serving food/tea & coffee/pudding, and washing up/cleaning up during and after.
As we are open to serve between 12 and 2, we will need volunteers to come in around 11 and stay till approximately 14:30 to ensure we set up/down sufficiently.
We need this help for Tuesday or Wednesday or both.
