We are supporting a Food manufacturing business to appoint a Facilities Electrician for their site in South Lanarkshire.
The Role
As the Facilities Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical integrity of both the industrial and domestic aspects of the site, including the inspection and testing of all electrical equipment.
On Offer:
1. £42,120
2. Monday - Friday
3. 8am - 5pm
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain and ensure the functionality of the site's electrical wiring.
2. Upgrade and improve the site's electrical wiring as necessary.
3. Lead equipment installations across the site.
4. Keep the site's schematic diagrams and circuit charts updated and accurate.
5. Support the maintenance of the engineering stores by identifying necessary parts and raising requisition forms for repairs and stock replenishment.
6. Ensure adherence to stores booking-in and booking-out procedures.
7. Ensure all electrical work complies with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and aim to exceed these requirements where possible.
8. Assist shift maintenance engineers when needed.
9. Provide training, support, and guidance to electrical engineer apprentices.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
1. A formal engineering qualification, such as City and Guilds, ONC/HNC, or equivalent.
2. City & Guilds 2391 certification (desirable but not essential).
3. A recognised apprenticeship.
