Are you ready to make a difference to young people? We're seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join an incredible team, supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Your Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of Therapists, Nurses, and Support Workers dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for the students. Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Student-Centred Care: Prioritising the needs and development of the students.
2. Creating Safe Learning Spaces: Encouraging and enabling students to reach their full potential.
3. Personalised Learning Support: Facilitating both 1:1 and group learning activities tailored to individual needs.
4. Assisting Tutors: Supporting lesson delivery and contributing to student achievement tracking.
5. Organising Activities: Planning exciting outings and day trips.
6. Administration: Ensuring smooth college operations through efficient admin work.
About You
They're looking for individuals who are:
7. Passionate about supporting young people (19-25 years old).
8. Committed to achieving the best outcomes for those they support.
9. Creative, adaptable, and able to bring new ideas to life.
10. Resilient, with good initiative in challenging situations.
11. Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing.
12. Qualified (or willing to work towards) a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (funding available).
13. Experienced in classroom environments and tracking student progress.
14. Knowledgeable about conditions like Autism, Epilepsy, and PMLD (preferred but not essential).
