About the Role:
You will be joining the very heart of Baywater in our team. To support the Respiratory Lead in provision of exercise instruction, assessment of suitability, assessment of exercise tolerance and health promotion of patients joining the pulmonary rehabilitation programme. The post holder will manage and prioritise the ongoing care of patients to ensure the efficient and optimal use of resources. They will provide advice, teaching and instruction to patients, relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote health and well-being, and to ensure a consistent, safe approach to patient care. The post holder will act autonomously within their professional boundaries but will have supervision and guidance of the Respiratory Lead. The post holder will be expected to act within the scope of Clinical Governance and will ensure personal knowledge, skills and competency are updated and maintained through appropriate CPD, training and development opportunities to enable safe effective care to be delivered in line with current evidence and practice. The post holder will ensure a safe environment for the treatment of clients and protection of staff through risk assessment and by ensuring the effective use of equipment and materials in compliance with health and safety and other relevant policies.. Each day is different so you’ll need to be adaptable and flexible but because of this you will truly be appreciated by your customers, patients, and team.
What You Will Be Doing:
♦Provide empathetic and professional support to service patients, families, and clinical leads.
•To maintain a patient, focus as well as being the first point of contact for patients within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service in the event of difficulties or complaints.
•Support our Pulmonary Rehabilitation service through delivery of training, exercise guidance, ongoing service user clinical support and maintenance of patient focused care.
•Under direct supervision, conduct and interpret results from basic monitoring tests including blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature, blood gases, heart rate and breathing rate
•Use electronic medical recording systems to ensure that clinical records are in accordance with UK GDPR and that support clinical need.
•Ensure safeguarding practices that support wellbeing of oxygen patients
