Join our dynamic team at One Leisure St Ives and make a splash as our new Recreation Assistant!
This multifaceted role is perfect for a vigilant lifeguard with a passion for community service and a knack for organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of our guests in the pool area, providing friendly reception cover, and facilitating the setup and takedown of various sports activities and an opportunity to work in the gym.
About you
As a strong team player who is certified in life-saving techniques, you'll use your communication and organisational skills to thrive in a bustling recreational facility.

If this role sounds perfect, but you don't hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), don't be put off, we can provide you with everything you need to become qualified!
We'll arrange interviews for suitable candidates whilst the campaign is running, which will include a swim test where the following will be assessed:
swim 50m in less than 1 minute and swim 100m continuously on your front, then 100m on your back
tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds
surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
climb out of the pool unaided.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and are unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
