YOUR ROLE AS A BURSON PERSON
We're hiring a junior behavioural scientist to join our unique Data & Intelligence Team, where an uncommon blend of specialists collaborate at the heart of the biggest communications agency in the world.
We are looking for candidates who are fascinated by human behaviour, have an interest in communications, and enjoy helping to produce high quality experimental and behavioural research.
You will have the chance to deliver projects and campaigns for a range of public or private sector organisations - from boosting the adoption of sustainable products to tackling health inequality.
You will also develop transferrable skills in research, client management and communication. There will be opportunities to grow the role into areas of personal interest, while working in a fun, dynamic and collaborative team.
If you are excited by the challenge of applying behavioural insights in communications, and love the idea of working side by side with data and creative strategists - we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Help to deliver research projects, test hypotheses, analyse and present research results - including consumer surveys and experiments.
* Support our account leaders and colleagues in creative strategy roles to create and carry out effective campaigns grounded in behavioural science - often via insights from literature reviews or audience mapping tools.
* Build collaborative trusting relationships with your colleagues in the UK and around the globe, helping them understand the capabilities that behavioural science can bring to their clients.
* Contribute to creative ideation sessions, and be a proactive participant within new business meetings and pitches.
* Promote Burson and our behavioural science offer to develop new business opportunities and expand current client reach.
Requirements
* A curious mind.
* A master's degree or equivalent work experience; or working to complete postgraduate studies. This should be in behavioural science or a related discipline.
* Some experience applying behavioural science insights in a real-world setting, preferably in a client advisory capacity.
* Experience in applying behavioural science approaches to real-world challenges.
* An interest in using behavioural science and research to solve practical business problems and support campaigns.
* Skills in analysing and presenting both quantitative and qualitative results from audience research.
* Excellent communications skills, able to articulate complex issues clearly to colleagues, small groups and large audiences in both written and verbal form.
* Experience with survey vendors and the programming language R is preferred (but can be taught).
