About Us:
The Surf is an innovative social networking platform with machine learning algorithm in core for determining closeness of relationships between people who communicate with each other using their devices. The company was founded n May 2024 by a tech founder who is performing CEO tasks. As we prepare our team for the next phase of active development and growth, we are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with strong experience in a similar position, including native platforms mobile app development, IT consulting, iOS development tools and algorithm analysis. You will join our team in Central London, with the office based in the central area.
Our Vision:
Our goal is to create the largest new-generation social platform, distinct from all existing social networks and dating applications with our unique algorithm, ultimately making online communication safer and more productive for our users.
Job Description:
As our CTO, you will be instrumental in launching The Surf, in line with our growth plans starting from January 2025. We aim to reach over 3,000 active customers by the end of 2025. You will work directly with our Co-Founders, who have extensive experience in it, Sales, Marketing, Investment, and Finance. A long-term commitment is required as we aim to create a Unicorn social networking company. Equity is offered.
As CTO, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our technology team, overseeing the development of our platform, and driving our overall technology strategy. You will ensure that our platform remains at the forefront of innovation in social networking, secure, efficient, and user-friendly for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Define and prioritize the software development roadmap in alignment with business objectives, ensuring scalability.
- Conduct regular reviews and adjustments based on performance and user feedback.
Technical Oversight:
- Continuously improve the accuracy of the core algorithm.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the software platform.
- Oversee security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and manage a high-performing engineering team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Performance Management:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our platform, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and user-friendly.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements to keep our platform cutting-edge.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Experience:
- Proven track record in leading and scaling technology teams.
- Experience in social networking ecosystems and blockchain technology is preferable.
- Expertise in software development methodologies.
- Previous experience in defining and executing strategic plans.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technology leadership role, preferably within a startup environment.
- Strong background in software development and product management.
- Experience with algorithms, data visualization, and mobile application development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
