Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes and Acute Medicine
We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant in Endocrinology & Diabetes and Acute Medicine on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.
The successful appointee will be joining a trust that is a friendly place, loved by staff, patients, and our local primary care colleagues. Resident medical specialities at the trust are Diabetes/Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Stroke Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Rheumatology, and Infectious Diseases. Our relationship with other big hospitals ensures excellent support from tertiary referral specialties, and most other medical and surgical teams have visiting representation. In the winter of 2018, we opened our fabulous new £10M Sir Robert Ogden cancer centre. They are also about to embark on a partnership with Hull York Medical School to develop a centre of excellence in rural undergraduate medical education. We are fortunate to be providing a very high quality acute medical service. The Friarage acute medical unit, and in particular our ambulatory care service, has recently been shortlisted for an HSJ acute care redesign award. In last year's national SAMBA 18 acute medical unit audit, our client's trust had the only site in the country to achieve 100% in all key performance indicators. This is partly possible due to a very close working relationship with our local GPs. They have a highly trained team of nurse practitioners and GP hospitalists, some of whom are working towards a CESR in acute medicine. Our on-site radiology support - including a new MRI scanner - is superb.
