Role: Aircraft Technician – Mechanical - Apache (AH64) Location: RAF Middle Wallop, onsite Role Type: Contract, 6-months, ongoing Salary: £33 to £37 an hour, with overtime The client, a global leader in the aviation sphere is seeking an Aviation Technician / Aircraft Technician / Aircraft Engineer – Mechanical to expand their current programmes. The successful candidate needs to have experience on Apache / AH64 aircraft maintenance, modification and repair to include skill and experience in both structural and mechanical system disciplines. Responsibilities: Performs the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by conducting the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes Conducts assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment Proficient in troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and associated electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components Validates and verifies testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results) Can work with their peers to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking towing system operations) Able to provide mentoring to peers and others Works under minimal direction Looking to be trained up, if you haven't been already, to Supervisor (2nd signature) level Required: Ideally you will have over 3 years’ experience working on AH64 Aircraft and be familiar with specifications and drawings. Have experience working within a team of aircraft technicians Ideally the candidate will have extensive experience working on Aircraft platforms and be familiar with specifications and drawing. Have experience working within a team of aircraft technicians Vocational based trade training is essential Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision with limited direction. Note: The ability to obtain SC Clearance is vital for this role
