We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Health Check Advisor to join our team at Wokingham Borough Council on a full time or part time, 6 month fixed term contract. (Part Time - We would consider a job share or minimum 3 days a week) As the Health Check Advisor, you will undertake health checks across the Borough in very varied community settings. You will provide lifestyle advice and recommend support for not only health issues but work with the voluntary sector to address wider social and personal needs. We are, with our colleagues in primary care (GPs) the voluntary and community sector, setting up a new team to help improve the health and wellbeing of Wokingham Borough residents to reduce health inequalities and to prevent conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. We will provide training and supervision, we are looking for candidates who are quick learners, can demonstrate they have those vital interpersonal skills in the team and when advising clients.
