The role will hold a large amount of accountability with a great focus on business partnering, offering the individual a role with heavy autonomy and a scope to make the role their own.
This role could also be offered on a part time/condensed hours basis.
What will you be doing?
* Effective co-ordination of all finance functions.
* Management of cash flow reporting and bank reconciliation process.
* Deliver high quality regular reporting, analysis and insights to business, forecasts, budgets and business plans.
* Identify key threats and opportunities and work with operational stakeholders to develop remedial actions to manage deviations from budget.
* Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining files to enable detailed monthly review by Head of Finance.
* Responsibility for producing overhead figures for monthly accounts, including posting accruals & prepayments and liaison with cost centre owners.
* Responsibility for statutory reporting along with VAT submissions to Group.
* Finance lead in statutory audits.
* Developing reporting tools as required.
* Key role in producing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
* Provide challenge to the business working closely with key operational stakeholders to deliver budget revenue and margin.
* Providing financial support to the Project Commercial Teams during month-end or other times, as required.
* Support the Commercials Teams with robust analysis.
* Deputising for HoF when required, including at meetings.
* Mentor role for the rest of the Finance Team.
* Other ad-hoc duties specified by Head of Finance.
What skills do you need?
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent QBE.
* Experienced in project accounting would be beneficial including WIP.
* Available on short notice - one month or less.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Strong communication skills with demonstrable experience in business partnering.
