Are you ready for something new? We have two exciting opportunities available to support children and young carers in Kent. Both roles involve working one-to-one with young people, offering group activities and support, and working closely with schools and other services. You’ll use a whole family approach, carry out home visits and signpost children and families to further resources. We support young people to develop confidence and resilience, identify coping mechanisms and know where to find help. You’ll deliver school assemblies and other presentations to raise awareness and reach more children and young carers. 1 x Children & Young People Coordinator- Young Carers- supporting Young Carers, aged 5-18 years, who have caring responsibilities for someone in their family due to disability, long-term illness, mental health, or drug or alcohol misuse Tonbridge & Maidstone, 37.5 hours 1 x Children & Young People Wellbeing Coordinator- supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people at risk of mental health problems (including young carers) Kent (based at Mersham), 37.5 hours Applicants should be organised, proactive and solution-focused, and able to effectively engage with children and young people.
