We are seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with various departments to align purchasing strategies with organisational goals. Key duties of the role include - Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives. Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure the best value for the organisation. Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Collaborate with logistics teams to optimise inventory levels and streamline supply chain operations. Utilise systems such as SAP for effective tracking and management of purchasing activities. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues that arise to maintain quality standards. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, trends, and forecasts for senior management review.
