What is Mental Health Together?In Kent and Medway, the community mental health transformation has created a new service model called Mental Health is a multi-agency offer, which means bringing all the services and agencies that support people with varying mental health needs much closer Health Together will add new roles as part of a new joined-up model of care that bridges the gap between primary ( GPs) and community mental health ( KMPT). It will treat people with complex mental health needs by:o Providing someone with support in a person-centred, holistic wayo Removing barriers to access, and thresholds across services working togethero Involving service users and carers as equal partners in their careo Building in involvement and co-production at all levels of service design deliveryo Delivering needs-led and personalised trauma-informed care.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent interpersonal skills that you'll use to support the team to provide the best possible care. You'll work alongside our existing Operational Team Leader and Lead Clinician, with specific clinical leadership responsibilities and support decision-making around complex cases as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
You will provide clinical and professional supervision to all band 6 nurses in the team. A flexible and can-do attitude is essential.
A diverse post-qualification experience in mental health is required, as is at least 3 years post-qualifying experience, with at least one of these years having worked in a Band 6 role.

The Kent & Medway community mental health services operates Monday to Friday 9-5 and senior visibility is essential. Band 7 clinical lead nurse for Mental Health Together Plus will be based at Albion Place, Maidstone. As with all services, these arrangements may change as the service continues to develop. We are committed to supporting an effective work/life balance in the best interest of staff and patients and the service will strive to support your professional development through regular supervision in a supportive working environment. You will closely with the West Kent Matrons to continuously drive quality improvements in nursing care and treatment.
