Complex Emotional Needs Care Coordinator / Key Worker
An exciting opportunity has presented for a motivated and enthusiastic Keyworker to become a full-time Key Worker in the new Complex Emotional Needs Service.
This is a role for a passionate and energetic professional to join a dedicated team to work closely together to provide high-quality evidenced based treatments working in a psychologically informed way. This role is ideal for someone who has a specialist interest in working with individuals with complex emotional needs and developing their therapeutic knowledge and skills.
The whole team place great value on clinical supervision and reflective spaces, utilising skills and psychological models to expand their own thinking.
Main duties of the job
1. To work as a core member of the community Complex Emotional Needs Service.
2. To work alongside senior clinicians of the service to ensure that the treatment programme is delivered, monitored and evaluated, including group work as required.
3. To be committed to effective team working and to the coherent delivery of treatment and therapy.
4. To promote a high standard of patient care.
5. To work within the Trust's policies and the standards set out in the Community Mental Health Teams Operational Policy and CEN Policy.
6. Participate as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in Community Mental Health Services moving to the Complex Emotional Needs Service upon implementation of the new service.
7. To deliver all aspects of Care Coordination to the highest quality and standards with available resources including supervision and consultation with Key Workers and other staff.
8. To provide in-reach support to the wider Navigo teams and the Primary Care Networks.

Job responsibilities
1. To provide specialist assessments of clients referred based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources, as required including, as appropriate, psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client's care where necessary.
2. To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client's mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client's problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy.
3. To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options in line with the theoretical and therapeutic models and the highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual.
4. To manage an individual case load that includes individual and group-based therapy.
5. To provide specialist clinical advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
Person Specification
Additional Requirements
* Driving Licence - Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans.
* NICE guidelines, NSF, Clinical Governance.
* Awareness of current research in the field.
* Knowledge of Person Centred Care.
* Knowledge of audit process.
Qualifications
* 2-3 years post professional qualification.
* Have undertaken other relevant training and courses relevant to the post.
Experience
* Experience with working effectively with Personality Disorders/ Complex Emotional Needs.
* Experience of working with all age functioning adults.
* Experience of working within a CPA framework.
* Risk Management experience and training.
* Experience of liaising with other teams or services, for example GPs, voluntary sector services.
* Involvement in innovative nursing/social work practice.
* Worked as key-worker/care co-ordinator or equivalent.
* Experience of taking part in recruitment and selection processes.
* Experience of care management role.
