Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust which was established in 2017. It currently consists of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School, and Barton Manor Free School.
OUR SCHOOL
Barton Manor School is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury. The School is in its third year of opening, with students in Y7, Y8, and Y9 only. When full, it will have a shared Sixth Form provision with Barton Court Grammar School. We are making great strides towards providing our community with an excellent school.
The School has excellent facilities, including state-of-the-art electronic interactive whiteboards and specialist facilities for sport, hospitality, engineering, dance, drama, music, and art. Our significant investment in professional development drives colleagues’ continuous improvement.
The Post
Required for 1 September 2025, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a senior leader to the post of Assistant Headteacher: Pastoral Care (KS3). Candidates will be required to deliver our Trust ethos of high academic/vocational standards within a caring and supportive school community. The successful candidate will have the potential and desire to be active and influential across the whole leadership spectrum.
Candidates should demonstrate the Trust and School's vision and values and promote excellence in all aspects of school life. You will be joining a highly effective senior leadership team led by the Headteacher and will be central to all major strategic decisions.
We welcome tours of the school prior to application.
