As the scale and complexity of the business continues to grow, they're seeking to add technical expertise to support on accounting, tax and compliance. This will cover month-end, year-end and project work, providing a varied and challenging workload for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close and lead on legal entity reporting, providing key accounting adjustments Lead financial statement preparation and liaise with external auditor Monthly balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation of key accounts to verify the completeness and accuracy of financial information Own accounting policies, existing and developing and implementing new policies as required, ensuring compliance whilst supporting business performance Liaise with tax advisors to provide business support and on-time filings for corporation tax, VAT and payroll taxes Stay on top of accounting, tax and regulatory developments that affect the business Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with associated regulations Assist with treasury management and cash flow forecasting Person Profile Qualified accountant, preferably with strong technical knowledge of FRS102 Experience of working in fast-paced environments and with/for SMEs would be beneficial Good attitude, naturally curious and have a relentless drive to make things better An ability to communicate effectively across teams and work levels The role is based in Edinburgh city centre, easily accessible via public transport. The company operates an office-first working pattern, with some flexibility to work remotely as needed.
