Key Responsibilities: Management Information Production: Prepare detailed employee cost analyses and cost of sales reviews to assist in financial decision-making. Monthly Management Accounts: Assist the Finance Manager in producing accurate and timely management accounts. Accounting: Develop and refine event-specific accounting processes to assess individual event profitability effectively. Forecasting and Reporting: Take ownership of the weekly financial forecast updates and produce event flash reports. Internal Audits: Conduct regular audits to validate adherence to internal financial controls and report on any procedural inefficiencies, discrepancies, or unusual activities. Budget and Forecast Preparation: Collaborate with the Finance Manager in planning and preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. Commission Statements: Prepare detailed monthly commission statements for venue clients. Cost Analysis: Continuously review and analyse costs to identify opportunities for greater operational efficiency. Year-End Audit: Support the year-end audit process by preparing required documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake various projects and prepare reports as directed by the Finance Manager or senior management. About You: They are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Qualifications and Skills Needed: A minimum of 12 months of finance experience. Part-qualified AAT (or equivalent), with a commitment to pursuing further professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA or CIMA). Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Ability to effectively manage your workload and deadlines, balancing both proactive and reactive tasks. Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with financial/reporting software. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interactions. Strong time management and organizational abilities, with a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines.
