As our Software Engineer you’ll be part of the team of Software Engineers focusing on the creation, enhancement, and upkeep of top-notch software solutions aligned with the requirements of both our customers and stakeholders.
The Software Engineer will be part of our growing Software Development team to evolve the way we interact and engage with our customers online.
Please note: You must be able to code in Java & Springboot
1. Develop, code, and test software as per specs and standards. Ensure quality, scalability, and security.
2. Work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to convert requirements into software solutions.
3. Work with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) for successful software project delivery.
4. Create thorough unit tests, conduct testing for software reliability, and collaborate on test plans with QA engineers.
5. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
6. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
7. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, tech, and best practices. Attend events and training for skill and knowledge growth.
This is a hybrid-based opportunity with up to 2 days per week in the office.
You should be based in the UK and our Offices are based in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Crick (Northampton).
You’ll live and breathe our Customer First ethos, with an innovative and agile approach to problem-solving. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider Engineering team and you’ll thrive on delivering excellent data delivery.
1. Must have previous experience in Software Engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
2. Proficient in one or more programming languages - Java & Springboot.
3. Strong attention to detail, proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
4. Able to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
5. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
