Sports Graduate Assistant \n\nFull Time \n\nPortsmouth\n\nSeptember Start \n\nAre you a recent sports graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant school environment? Teaching Personnel are working with a secondary school in Portsmouth who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sports Graduate Assistant to join their dynamic team from September until August next year.\n\nAs an all-through secondary school with a strong sporting tradition, they pride themselves on offering an outstanding sports programme to pupils across both the Junior and Senior sections. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people of all ages and abilities, supporting their development and love for sport.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSupport the delivery of high-quality coaching across a broad range of sports, including netball, hockey, rugby, cricket, athletics, and racket sports\n\nAssist in planning, organising, and delivering PE lessons, training sessions, and fixtures under the guidance of the Director of Sport, Assistant Director of Sport, and Head of PE\n\nContribute to the wider life of the school’s sports department, including attending and supporting fixtures, tournaments, and school sports events\n\nWork with individual pupils and teams to support their skill development and enjoyment of sport\n\nCandidate Requirements:\n\nA relevant sports degree or equivalent qualification\n\nA passion for sport and physical education with the ability to inspire and engage young people\n\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\n\nWillingness to work flexibly, including after school hours and on Saturdays during term time, in line with the school’s busy sporting calendar\n\nExperience in coaching or playing in one or more of the listed sports would be an advantage\n\nThis is an ideal opportunity for someone considering a future in teaching, coaching, or youth sports development.
